Seniors to have lasagna dinner
AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 18. There will be a lasagna dinner, and those attending must have a ticket. Bring utensils and cups. Bingo will be played after lunch.
An anniversary party will be held on Wednesday, May 2, at Martindale. Tickets will be on sale for $12 each at the April 19 meeting.
There were 34 members present at the last meeting. Attendance winners were Mary Tossinari and Nancy Duprey; 50/50, Diane Vincent, Brenda Chaplin and Jeannine Cyr; pot of gold, Donna Brown, Nancy Roy and Brenda Chaplin.
Group to explain ranked choice voting
AUBURN — Resist Central Maine will sponsor an explanation of ranked choice voting from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 21, at the First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St.
Experts from the Chamberlain Project Foundation, a 501-C3 nonprofit, will explain and cover the history, impact and pros and cons of ranked choice voting.

Legion post to hold Spring Fling
MECHANIC FALLS — American Legion Post 150 will have a Spring Fling from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at 41 Elm St.

Knitting Knights to convene
LEWISTON — Lewiston Pubic Library has announced will host the Knitting Knights from 5 to 6:30 p.m. every other Wednesday in the Jeanne Couture Room.
All ages and skill levels are welcome, and no registration is required. Library staff will be available to teach new knitters, and welcome experienced knitters to share their knowledge and skills. Bottled water and hot tea will be provided, and some supplies will be available for beginners.
Climate change film to be shown
AUBURN — “Truth to Power, an Inconvenient Sequel,” the Al Gore film on climate change, will be presented by Resist Central Maine from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 22, at the First Universalist Church, 169 Pleasant St.

Afternoon Tea to benefit heart association
AUBURN — Schooner Estates will host an Afternoon Tea to benefit the American Heart Association at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 22, on-campus, 200 Stetson Road.
Tickets will be sold for $10 and can be reserved by calling the Schooner Estates front desk at 207-784-2900.
The event is usually well-attended by women of the Schooner Estates community, and they are excited to invite members of the larger community as well. People are encouraged to dress for the occasion.
