WILTON — The Wilton Farmers Market, featuring local farms, artisans and businesses, will take place Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through September outside at the old Wilton Tannery off routes 2 and 4.

VFW Post monthly meeting

PARIS — The Floyd A. Harlow Jr. VFW Post 9787 will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, at 58 East Main St.

Book Cafe to meet 

MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library Book Cafe, the adult reading group, will meet on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:45 to 7 p.m.

New members are always welcome. 

Lithuanian Heritage Club to meet

RUMFORD — The Lithuanian Heritage Club will meet at noon on Wednesday, Aug. 1, at Sam’s Italian Shop on Route 2.

Plans for the annual Lithuanian Picnic in September will be finalized. Everyone is welcome.

AMVETS Post 777 to meet 

PARIS — AMVETS Post 777, which serves the Oxford Hills, holds monthly meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month at the American Legion, 12 Church Street.

Meetings are open to all veterans.

SeniorsPlus at Wilton library 

WILTON — SeniorsPlus will be at the Wilton Free Public Library the first Thursday of every month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The organization will be on hand to answer any questions or concerns about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.

All events are free and open to the public.

The Gathering Place, senior fellowship

LOVELL — The Gathering Place meets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursdays at the Lovell UCC Church, 1174 Main St.

It is free and open to any senior who wishes to drop in. Those attending should bring a lunch, and coffee, tea and snacks will be provided. A hot meal is provided on the first Thursday of each month.

This is a time for fellowship, games, art and special events.
