As a member of the future generation of this great nation, I believe that the confirmation of Brett Kavanaugh would pose a threat to affordable health care and many other issues that Mainers face in everyday life.

People cannot continue to be silent. The confirmation of Kavanaugh could be a danger for many constitutional rights. Sen. Susan Collins should vote against his confirmation on behalf of veterans, seniors and people with disabilities.

I believe that no one should feel left behind because of their illness, and that no one should live in fear about the possibility of not having access to the coverage of the Affordable Care Act or Medicaid. Affordable health care is a human right. People have the responsibility to protect health care for the needy and basic women’s right to choose.

I hope that Sen. Collins will listen to Mainers’ voices.
