Carmen A. Levesque
1928 – 2009
LEWISTON — Carmen A. Levesque, 81, of Auburn died on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Central Maine Medical Center after a short illness.
She was born in St. Eleuthere, P.Q., Canada, Jan. 3, 1928, the daughter of Magloire and Regina (Duval) Levesque and had been a resident of this community most of her life.
She had married Edgar Levesque, and he died on July 14, 2003. She was employed for many years as a bookkeeper for Lemay Outdoor Products until her retirement.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her camp in Lexington. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved very much.
She is survived by two sons, Walter Levesque and his wife, Raymonde “Rae,” of Auburn and Richard “Dickey” Levesque of Lexington; three grandchildren, Rachel Rowe and her husband, Chip, of Minot, Brian Levesque and his wife, Jamie, of Minot and Susan Gatto and her husband, Tim, of Auburn; four great-grandchildren, Connor Rowe, Alexis Gatto, Gavin Levesque and Cole Levesque; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Lucille Nargot and Yvette Nadeau.
The family wishes to thank the staff on M1 and ICU at Central Maine Medical Center for the tremendous care they have given to Carmen throughout her illness.
