Community Credit Union recently presented SeniorsPlus a check in the amount of $500 for their Meals on Wheels program. The Meals on Wheels program delivers balanced meals to seniors who are home-bound, unable to prepare meals or have no help to prepare meals. Last year, the Meals on Wheels program at SeniorsPlus delivered more than 85,000 meals. The donation was in conjunction with Community Credit Union’s participation in the Maine Credit Union League initiative known as “Ending Hunger.” In all, Maine credit unions have raised more than $3.1 million to help end hunger in Maine.
