PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — An aide to Sen. Olympia Snowe has been named one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” on Capitol Hill by newspaper that covers Congress.

The Hill says Jessa Merrill is a Republican and single.

Merrill, who’s 23, is a Kennebunkport native. She joined Snowe’s staff last October and currently serves as a legislative correspondent.

Merrill says she doesn’t have any beauty tips. She says it wasn’t until college that her roommates at the University of Vermont taught her how to apply makeup.
