Church service

BETHEL — A service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, at the historic East Bethel Church on Intervale Road. Pastor Ben B. Conant will preach the sermon and Stephen Seames will provide organ music. Everyone is welcome.

Class lunch

MEXICO — Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1963 will have their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 17, at Dick’s Restaurant.

Poets to meet

ROCKLAND — The Maine Poets Society will meet Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Rockland Public Library. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m. A $15 registration fee will include lunch. Nonmembers are welcome and invited to bring a sample of their work and stay to participate in a reading-in-the-round starting about 3 p.m.
