LEWISTON — The Special Events Committee of L-A Senior College will hold its annual “Honor the Instructors” recognition evening Tuesday, Oct. 5, in the Function Rom 170 at USM/Lewiston-Auburn College.

All the instructors of the Senior College 2010 spring and fall classes will join the board of directors for the evening of dinner and entertainment in appreciation of their volunteer course presentations.

Maine storyteller and humorist John McDonald will provide the after-dinner entertainment. McDonald is the founder of the Maine Storyteller Festival and his radio talk show can be heard each weekend on 560 WGAN.

The Senior College programs for adult learners age 50 and over provide peer-taught courses, workshops and the monthly “Food for Thought” luncheon series.
