Benefit
INDUSTRY — A benefit barbecue for Sheila McMillan will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at the Industry Town Hall on Route 43, just over the Farmington town line. Tom Saviello and Lance Harvell will grill hamburgers and hot dogs, and there will be salads, organic squash and desserts.

Sale, supper
JAY — A holiday food and craft sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 6, at the North Jay Grange 10, corner of Route 4 and 17, North Jay.
There will also be a public supper from 4 to 6 p.m. Nov. 6, with entertainment by Narrow Gage. There will be baked beans, casseroles, chicken pot pie, cranberry sauce, salads, coleslaw, beverages and dessert. Cost for adults $7; 10 and under, $3. Square dance
WILTON — Friendship Squares will host a mainstream/plus square dance on from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 7, at the Cushing School in Wilton. The caller will be Walter Lougee and the cuer, Carol Stewart.
Casual attire. All are welcome, including those who wish to come and observe.
