Church celebration

PERU — The United Baptist Church of Peru will host a gathering to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the church building. The event will begin at 4 p.m. for a walk through the building, followed by a free baked bean dinner at 5 p.m. There will be a hymn sing after the dinner.

The church is located on Main Street, across from the Post Office.

Jam session

PERU — The Rumford American Legion Post 24 will host a jam session with Ralph Arsenault from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5. For more information, call 369-9053.

Outreach

RUMFORD — Larry Hansen Evangelistic Outreach of Peru will sponsor an “Evangelistic Crusade” at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Rumford Auditorium.

Special musical guests will be The Fishers of Men and The Roberts Family. A message will be given by evangelist Larry Hansen. The event is free to the public. Donations will be welcome. For more information, visit www.proclaimjesusname.org.

Lodge meeting

CANTON — Whitney Lodge 167 A.F. and A.M. will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 4. The meeting will be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30 p.m. All Master Masons are welcome.
