LISBON — Fire of undetermined origin heavily damaged a home at 177 Lisbon St. on Wednesday night, fire Chief P. Sean Galipeau said.

The two-story wood-framed home is owned by Robert Robitaille, who was not there when the fire erupted, Galipeau said. He estimated damage at more than $50,000.

Crews from the E.T. Smith Hose Co. in Lisbon and the Lisbon Falls Fire Department had the fire under control less than an hour after the 7:11 p.m. call, Galipeau said. Firefighters cleared the scene around 11 p.m.

A representative from the Office of the State Fire Marshal will inspect the scene Thursday morning, Galipeau said.

Lewiston Fire Department stood by at the Lisbon station and Durham Fire Department at the Lisbon Falls station. Topsham Fire Department sent its Rapid Intervention Team to the scene.
