Auburn Senior Center to host luncheon, movie

AUBURN — The Age-Friendly Community Committee will host a free beef stew luncheon for those 50 and over on Thursday, Feb. 27, at the Auburn Senior Center in Pettengill Park.  The doors will open at 10:30 a.m. for socializing and game playing, with lunch served at noon.

The menu will include beef stew, bread and butter and dessert. Donations will be accepted.  A movie (to be announced) will follow the meal.  No preregistration is required.

Age-Friendly Committee announces free lunches
AUBURN —  Auburn’s Age-Friendly Community Committee has announced free lunches for the remainder of winter and spring. Lunches will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the following dates at the Senior Community Center in Pettengill Park for those age 50 and over: Thursdays, Feb. 27, March 26, April 23 and May 28.
The lunches will be followed by a movie, titles to be determined.
On the second Thursday of each month, bring a lunch, play games and socialize. The dates are Mach 12, April 9 and
May 14.
Coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be available free.

Legion post to sponsor breakfast buffet

AUBURN — American Legion Post 31, 426 Washington St. North, will hold a breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday, March 1.

The menu will include bacon, eggs, sausage, french toast, home fries, hash, beans, biscuit and gravy, pancakes, pastries, toast, juice and coffee. Cost will be $7. There will be a 50/50 drawing.
