LEWISTON — La Rencontre will meet at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 3, at the Franco-American Heritage Center, 46 Cedar St.

The meal will consist of a choice of meat or salmon pie with mashed potatoes, gravy, string beans, spice cake and beverage. The cost of the meal is $7 a person.

After the meal, patrons will be entertained by Lorraine Ouellette, Gerry Dube and Adrien Leclair. Patrons are encouraged to speak only French during the two-hour meal in the newly-renovated Heritage Hall, followed by entertainment in the Performance Hall.

The trio is a well-known musical group with many years of experience as entertainers. The musicians include Ouellette on  accordion; Gerry Dube, vocals and guitar; and Adrien Leclair, vocals, guitar and mandolin.

The trio has performed at outdoor festivals, Festival de Joie and the Franco-American Heritage Center. They perform French and English songs, polkas and jigs.
