AUBURN — The wedding of Melanie LaMore and Dan Gagnon was held at 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 10 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn. Minister Barry Moore of Bath, a friend of the family, officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. LaMore Gagnon is the daughter of Steve and Kathy LaMore of Lewiston. Mr. Gagnon is the son of Rodney and Sue Gagnon of Sabattus.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, embellished with crystal beading and metallic embroidery. The gown consisted of a pick-up skirt with a semi-cathedral train. She carried a bouquet of black bacara roses, vanilla Gerber daisies, green cymbidium orchids, orange calla lilies and hypericum berries.
Amy Perry, long time friend of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Erica Langelier and Christina Hines, friends of the bride.
Serving as best man was Nate Thibodeau, friend of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Kevin Ashley and Travis Huebner, friends of the bridegroom. Ring bearer was Karson Huebner, friend of the couple.
A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to the mountains in Bethel. They are residing in Auburn.
The bride is a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School, a 2005 graduate of Clark University and a 2008 graduate of Boston College, with a master’s degree in social work. She is a clinical supervisor for the children’s case management program at Providence Service Corp. in the central and western regions.
The bridegroom is a 2000 graduate of Oak Hill High School. He was a communications expert in the U.S. Marine Corps and later owned and operated a successful wedding entertainment business. He is now a sales professional at Lee Auto Mall in Auburn.
