LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus care management and community services staff and supervisors have achieved the Chronic Care Professional certification.

The certification was awarded by Health Sciences Institute of St. Petersburg, Fla., and is the only nationally recognized program of its type.  The CCP credential prepares the SeniorsPlus staff to more effectively work with the needs of people dealing with long-term chronic conditions.

SeniorsPlus is a private nonprofit, 501(c)(3) corporation whose mission is to support independent living and healthy aging. It serves as the local Area Agency on Aging and Aging and Disability Resource Center for Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties.
