Facility manager K.C. Johnson said the insurance company is involved in discussions. Hallowell officials tell the Kennebec Journal that no building permits have been issued for repairs, or demolition.

The arena, used by figure skaters, hockey teams and other skating enthusiasts, collapsed last week.

At the time, there were no large groups using the facility, and the three people inside escaped without injury. Police called the timing of the incident “a miracle.”
