The rink, which opened Dec. 20, has six to seven inches of ice and will stay open every day during daylight hours as long as weather permits, and the ice stays frozen and is safe to skate on.

Greenwood selectmen discuss broadband, lodging tax, and infrastructure

“I really, really pride ourselves on our relationships,” explains teacher Chyanna Millett-Cordwell. “We treat the kids like kids and treat them like humans. I think that’s huge. And it’s a little lacking right now … I’m not trying to reach a state standard. I can stop everything in the middle of class and be like, do we need to have [an] academic remediation or just chat? I have flexibility. And the kids will come to me for anything.”

Bethel board to research high cost of marijuana dispensary fees
When discussing why the fee was priced so high, both Everett and selectmen agreed it was because at the time the price was set Maine allowed only eight dispensaries in the state. Now, however, the state can have an unlimited amount of dispensaries so the price of the fees can be lowered as they are not in such high demand.
