Lewiston board considers changing student dress code to allow hats and hoods

A proposed policy amendment would allow students at Lewiston schools to wear hats and hoods after middle school students conducted research and surveys of their classmates. They found the rule is unfairly applied to students of color and both teachers and administrators argued hats and hoods were no longer synonymous with ‘gangs.’
