Lost bird hunter rescued after spending night in Piscataquis County woods

Game wardens found 70-year-old Maurice Pelletier after he got lost while hunting grouse on a logging road.

James P. Fulginiti, 64, had been missing for several days before being found near the shore of a remote lake in Oxford County.

The accident occurred late Saturday afternoon on Flagstaff Lake in Dead River Township, the Maine Warden Service says.

The 28-year-old woman was rock climbing in the area known as Shagg Crag when she fell 15 feet while attached to a safety rope.
