The towns of Phillips and Strong plan to start the 22-step process to withdraw from Maine School Administrative District 58. Avon and Kingfield have not submitted petitions to do the same.

A vote to start the process is scheduled from 1-6 p.m. on May 8 at the Forster Memorial Building at 14 South Main St., which is attached to the Town Office.
