Oxford is holding special town meeting on Oct. 17 at 6p.m. for voters to authorize the selectmen to spend $139,900 from undesignated fund balance for the purchase of a trash compactor and steel transfer trailer. Board of Selectmen recommends a yes vote. The regularly scheduled Selectmen meeting will follow. Both meetings will take place at Oxford Town Hall, 85 Pleasant Street.
