CMCC women’s basketball wins, UMA loses in USCAA tournament

The Mustangs reach the semifinals with a comeback win, but UMaine Augusta is eliminated in the quarterfinals.

The Moose (26-3) will meet Johnson & Wales Charlotte (15-10) in a second round game on Saturday in Buffalo, New York.

Additions come months after UMA brought soccer on board as school looks to expand its athletic programs.

The Moose, who have eight freshmen on the team, have rolled to 20 victories for a second straight year.

Mariah Dunbar leads Moose with 19 points, while Alisyn Alley adds 16 points.

After slow start to season, Moose (12-4) now riding an impressive 9-game winning streak.
